Organic Grapefruit Essential Oil

Our organic grapefruit essential oil is derived from the peel of the grapefruit tree, Citrus paradisi. This small tree grows in subtropical regions and originated in Barbados. 

We know the fruit as tangy and sour, and aromatically the oil is the same. The main component of grapefruit oil is d-limonene, which is great for dissolving oil. This is why grapefruit can be so effective as a main component in soaps, facial cleansers, and DIY home cleaning products.

Grapefruit essential oil can cause photosensitivity, which means that your skin may be more sensitive to the sun’s UV rays if you use it. Dilute at 4% in a carrier oil to prevent this (approximately 30 drops per ounce of oil).
