ArOmis’ organic green cardamom oil is steam-distilled from the leaves of the cardamom plant (Elettaria cardamomum).
Cardamom is in the same family as ginger and is aromatically similar, with a warm, spicy-sweet, and slightly woody scent. The plant is native to South India but is grown in other tropical Asian areas as well as Central America. The spice, which is derived from the plant’s green, pod-like seeds, is used in Indian and Asian cooking, including curries and teas.
Cardamom has known antibacterial, antispasmodic, and anti-inflammatory properties. It may also be uplifting, calming, and grounding.
